From Adelaide Oval to your local football club, St John are on-site providing first aid and medical care to the public at thousands of events across South Australia. St John are always there keeping our communities safe.
St John Event Health Services (EHS) is the leader in the provision of health care at events in South Australia. St John EHS has been providing medical services at SA events for more than 130 years and last year we attended more than 2,950 events.

As a non-profit organisation, St John Ambulance relies on income from its revenue-generating activities, such as Event Health Services, to fund its community initiatives. When organisations choose St John, not only are they receiving a quality service, but their funds are invested back into the South Australian community on programs such as first aid coverage at smaller community events and our popular First Aid in Schools program.

St John can be seen at events across the state providing a first aid response and on-scene pre-hospital treatment in the critical moments following medical emergency for the attending public. You’ll see our people at Clipsal 500, Adelaide Showground, Adelaide Oval, the Entertainment Centre, as well as local sporting and community events across the state.
A network of dedicated members is in place across the state, ready to serve the community. Our members uphold a continual skills competency program that delivers nationally accredited qualifications and the latest in healthcare techniques, and carry with them comprehensive first aid kits and state-of-the-art equipment.

Making a difference
During 2014/15 St John SA significantly lowered the burden on South Australia’s health service, attending 2,950 community events across the state, with St John volunteers donating over 91,705 hours of their time to Event Health Services. Volunteering hours alone is valued at an impressive $4,786,926 for the 2014/15 financial year (source 2014/15 annual report).
