Renew Your First Aid Certification

Renew Your First Aid Certification | St John Ambulance SA
Your Provide First Aid certification has lapsed

Your community still needs you.

You took the time to learn first aid because you wanted to be ready when it mattered. Those instincts have not changed. But your certification has now reached its 3-year limit, which means it is time to refresh.

Why it matters

The people around you are counting on these skills.

First aid is not just a certificate on a wall. It is the difference between a crisis and a confident response. Keeping your training current means you are genuinely ready when someone needs you most.

Your family

Emergencies happen at home. Knowing how to act in the first minutes of a cardiac event, a choking incident, or a serious fall can be the most important thing you ever do for the people you love.

Your colleagues

Workplace emergencies do not wait for someone else to step up. When you have current first aid training, you give your team a real safety net and the confidence that comes with it.

Your community

A bystander with first aid skills is one of the most valuable people at any accident scene, sporting event, or public emergency. You are part of South Australia's safety network.

"In a cardiac emergency, the actions taken in the first four minutes are the ones that matter most."

Current first aid training means you know exactly what to do in those moments. Expired training means uncertainty. Renewing takes less than a day and restores your confidence to act.

Workplace compliance

Is first aid required for your role?

Many South Australian workplaces are required by Work Health and Safety legislation to maintain a minimum number of current first aid certificate holders on site. If first aid is a condition of your employment or your industry, an expired certificate is a gap in your workplace's legal obligations.

Certificates valid for 3 years. After that point your employer cannot count you toward their first aid ratios.

WHS regulations apply across all industries. Construction, education, childcare, healthcare, retail, hospitality and more all have first aid obligations.

Nationally recognised qualification. The Provide First Aid certificate you earn with St John is a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.

Renewing now keeps you covered. Do not wait for an audit or an incident to remind you. A renewal booked today closes the gap immediately.
