At St John, we are committed to enriching lives, fostering meaningful connections, and supporting older South Australians to remain independent, active, and engaged in their communities.
Our Community Services include both our Community Care Social Inclusion Program and Community Transport Program, designed to help people overcome barriers to participation, reduce social isolation, and access the services, activities, and relationships that matter most to them.
Whether it's enjoying regular social visits with a caring volunteer, attending appointments, participating in community activities, or simply staying connected, we provide personalised support that promotes wellbeing, independence, and confidence.
Our services are delivered by a dedicated team of staff and compassionate volunteers who are carefully recruited, police checked, and thoughtfully matched with clients based on shared interests, skills, and individual needs. We take the time to understand each person's goals, strengths, interests, and life experiences, ensuring our support is tailored to what is important to them.
Guided by the principles of wellness and reablement, we work alongside our clients—encouraging independence and participation by doing things with them, rather than for them.
Services are available to eligible clients across metropolitan Adelaide, with both Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) funded and privately funded service options available.
